My Dream House

Something I wanted to share with you guys... My Dream House. I came across this photo and it totally describes what I have in mind :O
Everything I wish for, a two floor house in the center of the land, surrounded by an amazing garden that I would take care of, planting flowers, fruit trees and veggies...
It would also have to be in a quiet side of the country. I would love to wake up on birds singing on my window, my love fixing breakfast downstairs, on his side on the bed a red rose symbolizing our eternal love...
Well that's a part of my dream ;)

Back To Work.... Back to Vintage!!

So I woke up this morning thinking Vintage :D
I wanted to wear a chic, confident yet comfortable outfit, as I was heading to work.
What better way than to put on my favorite black velvet skirt?! I got this from a vintage store and I fell in love with it from the moment I layed my eyes on.It has a leather belt that beautifully compliment your waist.

My second pick was an amazing mustard baroque blouse with little golden buttons that I replaced to my personnel style to give it a fancy look.
Love that blouse :D:D

My black tights, leather boots and cardigan to complete the look.

And finally a pair of golden earrings that I recently made myself. They remind me of J'adore the wonderful fragrance by Christian Dior.
 

In the end, it's all about fashion ;)

I was surfing the internet when I came across this amazing Rihanna look taken in Paris Fashion week Spring/Summer 2010. I just couldn't resist myself to try and duplicate the look..High waist skirt, corset and lots and lots of accessories.... How cute is the hair...

My basic rule to get this look is to SIMPLIFY!!!
Don't go searching the stores to find the exact same items... YOU WON'T!!!
Identify the main pieces of the outfit:
- High waist blue skirt
- White corset
- your basic black pointed toe shoes
- lots of necklaces (if you have one that has so many volume better it is)
- And finally the bag, now here I would rather pick one items from the look to show off and what better way than to go with a designer bag, it doesn't have to be the same though...

Introduction to CHIC

For my first post on CHIC, I decided to share some of the things I love as I thought it would be the best way to introduce myself and for you to know me better.
My name is Stephanie but my friends call me Steffie. I am a cosmetic dentist student in my second year of major.
I chose to specialize in Aesthetics because of my obvious love to everything that's beautiful and my ability to recreate Hollywood smiles and restore facial features by simply adjusting the shape, color and texture of teeth.
Enough talking dentistry, let's talk fashion!!
One of the cutest clothing patterns to me are floral prints, because they give feminine appearance and can be worn day and night to any occasion.

This is an asymmetrical floral dress by Rare and you can find it on www.topshop.com. I love it because it's simple and chic and the asymmetrical shape give it a sassy look but in the same time it looks feminine bacause of its print.
Another cool thing I love is ruffles. what I love about them is that they give you volume if you're skinny and hides your curves if you have any.This lovely mini skirt is shiney chiffon and lace tiered that I found on www.rue21.com 

 

If you're heading out for a girls shopping day, what's better than to put on those cute flats and rock the mall with comfort and style?? I know I do, I just love how you don't have to worry about walking model walk just to prevent falling down your ass and embarrassing yourself :P..

And if you think flats are not fashionable shoes, you'd better check with Victoria Beckham on that!!!

You can call it accessory but I call it outfit essential, the big designer bag has proved once again to be a chic must have. LV for Louis Vouitton, YSL for Yves Saint Laurent and so many amazing designers brought to life this trendy mode.

Finally my favorite..... VINTAGE!! I just love the history behind every cut, every design and every pattern... It's a great way to tribute our great fashion designers and relive the epic tale of each clothing piece...
